Abigial Holt is currently in training to swim from Europe to Asia across the Dardanelles Abigial Holt is currently in training to swim from Europe to Asia across the Dardanelles, 200 miles south of Istanbul in Turkey on 30 August 2010. This is the famous crossing performed by Lord Byron. The world’s busiest shipping lane will be closed for the event, which is organised by the Turkish coastguards but she will be joining 140 swimmers from the UK. Chambers member, Lisa Robert’s husband, Jonathan Bourne, will be swimming with her. Abigail's husband will be keeping a close eye on the swim in a bar at the finishing point, sipping an apple tea or (more likely) a beer!
