Amy Nicholson joined Lincoln House Chambers in 2001 as pupil to Dennis Watson QC.  A criminal practitioner, she is regularly instructed in serious and complex criminal cases for both the prosecution and the defence.  Her practice ranges from murder and serious violent and sexual offences, to firearms offences, gang violence, football violence, armed robbery, drug trafficking and offences involving child cruelty.  In addition she is experienced in cases involving money laundering, confiscation proceedings and serious fraud, having recently been instructed in a £57 million MTIC (carousel) case.  She is regularly instructed as junior counsel in high profile cases. 

Amy Nicholson was called to the Bar in 1999, having graduated from Nottingham Trent University in Law with Honours.  Prior to pupillage and tenancy at Lincoln House Chambers, Amy worked at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield on a complex Conspiracy to Defraud and a multiple murder case.  In her spare time she worked at the Sheffield Law Centre, providing pro bono legal advice to members of the public.  Amy has good conversational French, plays golf, and is an avid football fan.
