Following a 5 year police investigation into a ‘Boiler Room Fraud’ operating from Barcelona, Mr Jeremy Lasker secured the acquittal of his client with unanimous verdicts of Not Guilty which were returned by a jury at Shrewsbury Crown Court who took little over an hour to acquit. The prosecution which centred upon the fraudulent selling of hundreds of thousands of Pounds worth of bogus shares to unwitting investors in the UK, was traced by the police the to bank accounts in Andorra, where the funds were later withdrawn in cash by the Defendant in such large quantities that he required suitcases to carry the money away.
