You need JavaScript enabled to view it Katie was called to the Bar in 2003 (Gray’s Inn) and has been a member of Chambers since joining as a tenant in October 2008. Katie was previously a member of Peel Court Chambers, where she completed her Pupillage in 2004 (pupil-supervisor David Pickup). Katie practices in Criminal Law, Prison Law, Judicial Review and Immigration and Asylum. She regularly appears before a wide range of tribunals throughout the North West and beyond. Katie maintains a busy Crown Court practice on circuit, instructed by both the Prosecution and Defence. She is currently a Category 2 prosecutor, and has also been appointed to the Prosecution Circuit Rape Counsel List. In addition, Katie is frequently instructed in Prison Law cases and represents prisoners before the Parole Board at all types of Parole Board hearings. She also often advises in writing regarding Prison Law issues: in particular, in relation to the merits of Judicial Review. Katie is also often instructed in cases before the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. Katie is able to accept instructions under the “Direct Access Scheme”.
