Lincoln House Chambers raise money for Prince’s Trust with battle of the bands

The Lincoln House Chambers team were out in full force last week, winning an Acoutic Guitar for their exceptional fundraising efforts.

The Last Gasp, made up of Alistair Webster QC and Louise Kitchen, were up against some strong competition from across the legal professional in Manchester.

This year’s competition, ‘Manchester Music Makers 2’, was hosted at Band on the Wall in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, on Thursday October 30th.

Organised by the trainees at Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office, the event was aimed at raising funds in aid of the Prince’s Trust’s ‘Million Makers Challenge’. The challenge was to turn the seed money provided by the Trust into fundraising profit.

The competition saw the bands battle to win the top prize which included recording studio time (donated by Cotyso Studios) and an acoustic guitar (donated by Dawsons).

Some of the participants included:

  • Weightmans
  • BPP
  • Exchange Chambers
  • Lincoln House Chambers
  • Northern Case Management / St James Chambers

Head of Lincoln House Chambers Alistair Webster QC commented: “The battle of the bands is a fantastic way to raise money and a huge congratulations to Hill Dickinson for organising such a great event. Everyone involved has been full committed to the cause and we are happy that we raised such a significant amount of money for the Prince’s Trust.”
