Qualified as a solicitor in 1996 and called to the Bar in 2003. He is regularly instructed to act for Defendants accused of serious fraud, violence and sexual offences. He has a particular interest in human rights and representing mentally disordered defendants. An accredited mediator, he has a loyal following and prides himself on providing a first-rate service to Solicitors and clients.
Recent cases includes; appearing in the Court of Appeal on behalf of two appellants charged in connection with the August 2011 riots, their sentences were halved. A number of hearings under s4A Criminal Procedure (Insanity) Act 1964, a rape trial involving cross examination of the complainant through an intermediary and an allegation of causing death by dangerous driving where the Defendant was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
