Welcome To Lincoln House Chambers
Lincoln House Chambers fields advocates across a range of practice areas from state-of-the-art premises in Manchester. The set deliberately nurtures an ethos of excellence in advocacy, and, in meeting the demands of the client. For over thirty five years this approach has allowed Lincoln House to maintain a lead over its rivals.
Predominantly a criminal set, Chambers has a particular expertise dealing with cases of the utmost gravity and complexity. Over the years Chambers’ caseload has included many of the major criminal cases of the day.
Today Chambers has re-engineered itself to meet the demands of modern legal practice. Teams of advocates practice in a variety of regulatory and disciplinary fields and in growing areas of civil litigation. Investment in IT has allowed for a new document management system capable of dealing with members’ heavyweight practices.
One benefit of Chambers’ standing is that it finds itself at the hub of an important network of the key players in its practice areas. LHC can count among its clients a number of leading solicitors’ firms and a many of the key figures within the prosecuting authorities.
Planned expansion and organic growth now means that there are 13 Queen’s Counsel and 53 juniors in chambers. A number of members hold judicial appointments in tribunals and in the higher courts. Most members of chambers are qualified to accept work on a direct access basis.
