10 members of a Birmingham family have been cleared of attacking and assaulting members of their own extended family in Birmingham.
Raja Zubar, one of the accused, said he was determined to fight against the accusations that arose after an earlier alleged assault.
Speaking after the jury returned not guilty verdicts, the father-of-three said he believed the allegations had been fabricated from start to finish.
Mr Zubar, who lives in Birmingham, said: “I have never caused any harm to any members of my family and I never would; I can’t afford to attack anyone; I’m a working class person; I have a family to support.”
Mr Zubar and the nine other members of his family were charged with violent disorder.
Mr Zubar had always denied the charges against him and went to trial. After four weeks of evidence, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts.
