Kate Blackwell KC Appointed to Review Isle of Man Sexual Offences Legislation
Kate Blackwell KC has been appointed by the Minister for Justice and Home Affairs to review the Isle of Man’s sexual offences legislation. This will include an evaluation of its operationalisation, impact, and effectiveness across law enforcement, prosecution, judiciary, and victim support services, with a view to identifying areas for improvement or future amendment.
Kate is assisted by Lara McCaffrey from Lincoln House Chambers, and says, “I am delighted to have been asked to carry out this important review. I look forward to working closely with Dan Davies, Chief Executive Officer in the Department of Home Affairs, and all relevant stakeholders.” The Review is due to be published in June 2026.
