Alex Bennie & Nicola Saulle Secure Acquittal in 19 Count Historic Sexual Offence Case

Alex Bennie, instructed by Nicola Saulle of Farleys Solicitors, have secured an acquittal for their client following an 8 day trial at Burnley Crown Court.

The 19 count indictment, alleged multiple rapes, buggery and indecent assaults of 3 complainants, occuring in the family home in the mid 1970s.

The Crown submitted that the Defendant had sexually abused three of his siblings over a period of several years. One of the complainants had sadly passed away, however had recorded evidence by ABE which was heard at trial. Two remaining complainants attended trial and were cross-examined. The Defendant gave evidence maintaining his innocence.
