Commendation from Manchester Police – Tim Storrie and Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith and Tim Storrie have been honoured by Greater Manchester Police for their “outstanding” work prosecuting people-traffickers.

At a ceremony yesterday Rachel and Tim received a Divisional Commander’s Commendation from Detective Chief Superintendent Mary Doyle. Rachel and Tim prosecuted Operation Pantin, an investigation which targeted a network of people-traffickers. In January 2011 Marius and Bogdan Nejloveanu, who were Romanian nationals, were convicted of a variety of offences connected with the trade in human beings for prostitution. The citation read ” in recognition of outstanding work in connection with Operation Pantin where their skills, commitment, professional pride, and expertise resulted in the delivery of work to the highest standard, reflecting credit on themselves, the Crown Prosecution Service and Greater Manchester Police as a whole.” Following the ceremony Rachel and Tim said they were “honoured and delighted” to receive the award.
