Lee Hughes secures acquittal in death by careless driving case

Lee Hughes, instructed by Hannah Betton and Emma Bracewell of DWF, has secured a not guilty verdict for his client after a four-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court.

The defendant, a professional driver, was charged with causing death by careless driving following a collision between his Large Goods Vehicle and an elderly lady who later died.

After three days of evidence, including evidence from expert witnesses, the jury returned a not guilty verdict on the fourth day.
