Leila Ghahhary Successfully Represents Local Authority in Nightclub Premises Licence Appeal

Leila Ghahhary represented Oldham Council in a licensing appeal hearing arising from the revocation of a premises licence for a nightclub in Oldham town centre. Following three days of evidence and submissions relating to a six year history of violence and disorder, the court dismissed the appeal and found that Greater Manchester Police were right to bring a review of the licence and the Council’s decision to revoke the premises licence was upheld.
