Life Imprisonment For Woman Who Strangled Her Partner

A Manchester woman, who had abused and humiliated her partner before killing him, has been jailed for life by a judge at Manchester Crown Court.

Charlotte Dootson, 25, of Miles Platting bound Mohammed Amin Mukhtar then strangled him with electrical cord, at the home they shared.

She had admitted Mr Mukthar’s murder at an earlier hearing.

On 24th May 2022 she appeared for sentence before HHJ Field QC at the Crown Court at Manchester and was sentenced to life imprisonment.

She will serve a period of 22 years 6 months, less days served before the question of her release will be considered.
