Lincoln House Chambers and Cunninghams Solicitors Secure Acquittal Following 9 week Murder Trial

Mark Ford leading Mark Friend, instructed by Philip Lythgoe of Cunninghams Solicitors in Manchester, have secured the acquittal of their client, Lee Adshead, on charges of murder and attempted murder following a 9 week trial before the Honourable Mrs Justice Cutts at the Manchester Crown Court.

The case concerned the shooting of two victims, Luke Graham and Anton Verigotta. The prosecution alleged that Mr Adshead travelled to an address in Droylsden with 2 other men, and arranged for the victims to attend. Both were shot on arrival. Mr. Graham died at the scene.

The jury returned verdicts of not guilty against Mr Adshead on the 4th July. One of the defendants. Wade Cox, was convicted of Mr Graham’s murder, and a number of co-accused were convicted of assisting him in connection with the crime. Sentence will be imposed later in July.
