Lincoln House Chambers is delighted to announce Lawrence Rainford & Mia Monahan’s acceptance of Tenancy

Lincoln House Chambers is delighted to announce that, following the successful completion of their pupillages, Lawrence Rainford and Mia Monahan have accepted offers of tenancy and join Chambers as full tenants.

Lawrence completed his pupillage under the supervision of Henry Blackshaw and Samuel Jones, whilst Mia completed her pupillage under the supervision of Rachel White.

Throughout their pupillages, Lawrence and Mia have gained extensive advocacy and case management experience across a broad range of practice areas.

Lawrence brings significant experience in criminal defence, having previously worked as a paralegal within a criminal defence firm, with particular experience in motor offences. During his pupillage, he has continued to develop his expertise across a wide range of criminal matters, including cases involving serious motoring offences. He has also developed his Civil Law practice, dealing with a range of personal injury matters under the guidance of Sam Jones.

Mia has developed a strong practice in criminal law. Prior to pupillage, she gained valuable practical experience as a Special Constable with West Midlands Police, as well as working as a Private Client paralegal. During her pupillage, she has developed her advocacy and case management skills across a broad range of criminal matters.

Both Lawrence and Mia have impressed throughout their pupillages with their commitment, thorough preparation, client care and developing advocacy skills. They have become valued members of Chambers and we are delighted that they will continue their careers at Lincoln House Chambers.

Chambers would like to thank Henry, Sam and Rachel for the guidance, support and training they have provided throughout Lawrence and Mia’s pupillages. We would also like to thank the Head of Pupillage, Ged Doran,  and the wider Pupillage Committee for their continued work in providing a high standard of advocacy training and support to our pupils.

We are very pleased to welcome Lawrence and Mia as tenants and look forward to seeing them continue to develop and flourish at the Bar.

Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the clerking team in relation to Lawrence or Mia’s work and availability to accept instructions.
