Simon Rey, aged 40 from Connah’s Quay, North Wales appeared for sentence at the Crown Court at Minshull Street on 29th November 2017. He had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to one count of fraud by abuse of position. HHJ Savill sentenced Rey to 20 months imprisonment. The fraud related to Rey’s time working for the Money Advice Group, a financial advisory service based in Carrington, Manchester.
