Members of a drugs gang who launched an attack on a rival have been jailed for a total of over 90 years following a seven week trial.
Joshua Garrett of Torquay and Ben Bramall, of Paignton, had both been convicted by a jury of attempted murder. They had previously admitted offences of robbery and conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Exeter Crown Court heard that both had been involved in an £1 million pound a year enterprise which trafficked class A drugs from Liverpool to Devon.
In April 2018 the gang ambushed members of a London-based gang that had become rivals. In the course of the assault one man was left with a knife wound to his brain.
On 5th March 2020 HHJ Peter Johnson, Recorder of Exeter, sentenced Garrett and Bramall to 33 years and 28 years respectively for attempted murder and associated offences. Two other defendants was sentenced to 19 1/2 years and 10 years for wounding with intent and drugs offences. Tim Storrie acted for Ben Bramall, instructed by Matthew Corn at Olliers.
