Mohammed Nawaz & Alex Leach Appointed as Queen’s Counsel

The members of Lincoln House Chambers are delighted to congratulate Mohammed Nawaz & Alex Leach following the announcement that, on the recommendation of The Lord Chancellor, Her Majesty The Queen has appointed both to be Queen’s Counsel.

Applications for the 2020 competition closed on 14 April 2020 and the Selection Panel submitted recommendations to the Lord Chancellor on 26 October 2020.  Each of the 281 applicants had been considered against the five core competencies and 177 were then interviewed, a total of 116 were successful.

Director of Clerking David Wright said “We are all absolutely delighted with the news of Mohammed & Alex’s appointment. After a very difficult year for the criminal and regulatory bar the news fills us with positivity for the new year. Both Mohammed & Alex thoroughly deserve this recognition of their expertise and hard work over the years. I know that they will both thrive in silk and I am very excited about their future careers.
The appointment of two new QC’s following our similar success in last years competition further confirms the quality and strength in depth of the Lincoln House Chambers membership and our reputation of housing a leading Criminal & Regulatory team”.
