Neil Usher secures an acquittal for his client accused of having under age sex for a two year period with his 14 year old girlfriend. In R v LF, a four day trial heard at Minshull St Crown Court, the defence successfully argued that the defendant reasonably believed his girlfriend was at least 16 when in fact she was 14 when they engaged in a consensual sexual relationship. The defendant had previously admitted taking a number of indecent images of the complainant whilst she was, unknown to him, 14 years of age.
