Rebecca Filletti Represents Lincoln House Chambers at the Northern Circuit Opening of the Legal Year Justice Service

On Sunday 8th October, to mark the opening of the legal year, a “Justice Service” was held at Manchester Cathedral. Traditionally the High Sheriff and members of the judiciary robe and process into the Cathedral, with the Bar being represented in the procession by the Leader and Junior of the Northern Circuit along with representatives from each of the Chambers on Circuit.

The Northern Circuit event mirrors the London ceremony which dates back to the Middle Ages in which the judges arrive in a procession from the Temple Bar to Westminster Abbey for a religious service, followed by a reception known as the Lord Chancellor’s breakfast, which is held in Westminster Hall. Tim Storrie KC represents Lincoln House Chambers at that ceremony this year.
