Sarah Magill Defends Domestic Case Involving A Soldier And Police Officers
Sarah Magill defended a then-serving soldier at trial involving allegations of stalking and ABH against two serving police officer complainants, one of whom was his then-partner and the other her new partner.
All of the prosecution witnesses were police officers.
Sarah identified disclosure issues and made submissions early in the case, the Crown consequently offered no evidence in respect of the ABH count.
The stalking count was contested at a six day trial, and the defendant, who was of good character, was unanimously acquitted after two hours of deliberations. The case took just under two years from start to conclusion.
