Shopkeeper Jailed for Store Arson – Tim Storrie Prosecutes

A Darwen man has been jailed after being convicted of burning down his shop in the course of a fraudulent insurance claim. Saddaqat Ali, proprietor of the West End Convenience Store, Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle was found guilty of arson being reckless as to whether or not life was endangered and fraud by a jury at Burnley Crown Court in February.

On 14th May 2012 he sentenced to four years imprisonment. Tim Storrie prosecuted for Burnley CPS.
