Simon Csoka QC secures the acquittal of Greater Manchester Police Sergeant Richard Pendlebury

Police Sergeant Richard Pendlebury was acquitted at Preston Crown Court on all five counts following a two week trial.

Sergeant Pendlebury was accused of shoplifting, assaulting a security guard, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice with his partner and her hairdresser, as well as two further instances of seeking to pervert the course of justice against the security guard. His former co-defendant turned Queen’s Evidence against him in the trial. He was instructed by Mr Brian McMahon of Burton Copeland Solicitors.
