SIMON GURNEY AND BRENDAN O’LEARY SECURE ACQUITTALS IN ROCHDALE CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION TRIAL

Following a 3 week trial at Minshull Street Crown, Simon Gurney and Brendan O’Leary secured the acquittal of their clients who had been accused of sexual offending against a girl, then aged between 13 and 15. Their clients were tried along with two other defendants, all of whom were accused of offending against the girl who was from the Rochdale area of Greater Manchester between 2012 and 2014.

The jury took two days to consider the 15 counts alleged against the defendants before returning their not guilty verdicts.
