Westminster Commission Into Joint Enterprise Cases

The fifth session of the Westminster Commission on Joint Enterprise focused on how prosecutors approach cases involving multiple defendants. The inquiry has been established under the aegis of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Miscarriages of Justice. In this session the Commission was particularly interested in how the decision to prosecute principal and secondary parties is made, and the steps taken to ensure that such prosecutions are fair. Tim Storrie KC was among those who gave evidence to the Commission.
