CROSS EXAMINATION OF LEAD INVESTIGATOR LEADS TO ACQUITTAL

Mr Jeremy Lasker secured the acquittal of a Defendant in a multi million pound VOSA prosecution alleging a Conspiracy to Falsify Driving Records.

The trial which began in January 2015 and had been running for 8 weeks was being conducted at the Crown Court in Newcastle upon Tyne. The jury’s Not Guilty verdict was entered on the direction of the trial judge, prior to the conclusion of the Prosecution Case but   followed on from Mr Lasker’s cross examination of the Officer in the Case who was the lead VOSA investigator.

A Defendant’s costs order was also made. Mr Lasker was instructed on behalf of the Defendant by Mr Craig Liversedge of Forbes Solicitors.
