Dan Thomas represents solicitor charged with money laundering

Dan Thomas represented Nicholas Heywood, sentenced on 11th January at Chester Crown Court for two counts of money laundering, perverting the course of justice and prejudicing a money laundering investigation. Mr Heywood received a prison sentence of 12 months. Mr Heywood was given not guilty verdicts in respect of 7 other counts relating to lottery winner, Keith Gough.

A football fan has been convicted of an offence after he racially abused a black football player during a match at Barrow. Andrew Butterfield, 32, of Monk Street, Barrow directed his abuse from the terraces, at Crawley Town's goalkeeper, Michel Kuipers, during a Blue Square Premier Conference fixture in October 2010.
